The city of Purcellville is the center of western Loudoun County. Located just 25 miles from Dulles International Airport and just over 50 miles from downtown Washington, D.C., Purcellville is a small town with a lot of activity. With more than 360,000 residents, Loudoun County is one of the fastest growing counties in the country and boasts the highest median household income of any county in the country.

Purcellville is located in the rural, western part of the county, surrounded by farms, open space and mountain views. Easy access to outdoor activities includes: The Appalachian Trail, the Potomac River, hiking, horseback riding, and farms to choose from. The city even has a working farm that has been farming for over 200 years!

The city provides key public services to its residents, businesses, and visitors, including public water and sewer, law enforcement, street maintenance, zoning, and parks and recreation. The city has approximately 9,100 residents and a daytime population of more than 15,000.

Purcellville boasts more than 50 dining options, from fast food and casual to fine dining and specialty shops.

Craft beverages are a big draw for visitors, with 4 (and soon to be 5) local breweries and an award-winning, internationally recognized craft distillery. Numerous wineries are located in the outskirts of the city, outside the city limits.
