Mayor Kwasi Fraser

Having resided in Purcellville since 2006, Kwasi Fraser, his wife, Angela, and their three children settled in Purcellville because they like its balance of old and new, its small town warmth, and consider it a great place to raise their family. During the past few years, Fraser has actively engaged in community service including youth sports and school activities.  

Fraser’s distinguished corporate career includes significant bottom line contributions at AT&T, Sprint Nextel, Marriott International, and Verizon.  In his current position and as a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt, he provides leadership in operational efficiency, revenue growth, and sustainability.  

In addition to his corporate experience and strong work ethic, Fraser possesses an MBA in Finance from Rutgers University, an Executive Education certificate from Harvard Business School, a Bachelor of Engineering degree from Stony Brook University, and a Project Management Professional (PMP) certificate from the Project Management Institute.

As Mayor of Purcellville, Kwasi Fraser, along with his fellow town council members, is actively working to place the needs of Purcellville's citizens first to preserve their quality of life and also to create lasting value for the town.

Vice Mayor Patrick McConville

Patrick McConville II has been a Northern Virginia native all his life. When it came time to start and raise a family, the Town of Purcellville had the right feel and sense of community that he was looking for.  He has a son and a daughter that take full advantage of the amenities of the Town, such as the movie nights at the Bush Tabernacle, the baseball fields, the festivals and parades.  Since moving to Town, Patrick has become involved with the Town Parks and Rec Advisory Board, where he has helped to plan and coordinate some of the events such as the Music and Arts Festival as well as others offered by the Town.  

Patrick has worked in the Land Development industry since the age of 18.  He has been in contact with and coordinated projects for most local jurisdictions throughout the years. He is currently a Survey Technician at Bowman Consulting in Leesburg, VA.

Patrick also currently serves as a member of Main Street Village HOA.  He can be found at most of his eldest son's Cub Scout events during the Fall and Spring, as well as around the baseball diamonds.

Council Member John Nave

John Nave is married to Sandy Nave they have two children both attend Northern Virginia Community College and work FT and PT.  Mr. Nave is employed at the Library of Congress as Chief of Office Systems Services.  Mr. Nave has lived in Purcellville for 10 years and has volunteered for the Town Wide Tag Sale for the past three years, he also serves on Loudoun grows and is the EDAC liaison for the Council.

Council Member Joan Lehr

Joan Lehr was elected to the Purcellville Town Council in 2008 and was re-elected in 2012.  Prior to election to the Town Council Joan served two years on the Planning Commission.  During her tenure on Council, Joan has served as the liaison to the Safety Committee, Board of Architectural Review and as a member of other committees.  Joan and her husband Greg own two businesses in Town, Purcellville Copy and JL Equipment Solutions. Joan serves on the Board of the Purcellville Business Association, and has been an active member since 2003. She feels her experience as a business owner has helped with improving the economic environment of the Town. Her goal has been to implement processes to make it “easy to do business in Purcellville.”  Joan has been a major proponent for youth sports and spent many years involved in ULYFL and in the Football program at Loudoun Valley HS.  Joan and Greg reside in Locust Grove. Their two children Helene and Michael both graduated from Loudoun Valley HS and are now attending college at JMU and CNU, respectively.

Council Member Karen Jimmerson

Karen Jimmerson moved to Northern Virginia in 1992 while her husband was serving in the Marine Corps and in the same decade became a resident of Loudoun County. After residing in Leesburg for many years, Karen and her husband Richard chose Purcellville for the high quality of living, great schools, and wonderful small town atmosphere.  Karen is a stay at home mom with three daughters who currently attend the local public high school, middle school, and elementary school. She currently serves as Secretary on the Old Dominion Valley HOA Board and is an active school and community volunteer.

Council Member Doug McCollum

Doug, a 1st-term Council member, is an eight-year resident of Purcellville and a lifetime resident of the greater D.C. area. He is a retired attorney and a graduate of Duke University and GWU Law. In Purcellville, he has served for 2 years on the Town’s Economic Development Advisory Committee, 4 years on the Planning Commission with 2 years as Chair. The Council appointed him to serve as Council Representative on the Planning Commission for the next 2 years. He has been a member of the Board of the Courts of St. Francis HOA since 2007 and president from 2009 through July 2014. He has also been an election officer for 2 elections. He is married with 2 sons and 7 grandchildren.

Council Member Kelli Grim

Kelli Grim has been a resident of Purcellville for 9 years. When looking for a small town that had a strong mix of historic charm, eclectic businesses, and great educational opportunities, Kelli and her family made Purcellville their home. It was everything that was described in the Comprehensive Plan that gave them the sense that Purcellville was a true “small town America” place to raise their family.

Kelli has over 30 years of leadership, strategic planning, sales, and marketing experience in business for both public and private sectors in which more than half was as a successful residential and commercial realtor. She has coached youth basketball, volunteered as a judge and coach for the Odyssey of the Mind program, and has remained actively involved in school, church, and community volunteering. She became a board member of the Hirst Farm Homeowners Association 9 years ago at its inception, served as President for 3 years, and currently serves as Treasurer.  Kelli has attended most town committee, commission, board and council meetings for 8 years and is an advocate for the citizens and businesses in the community. 

Kelli and her husband Bobby reside in Hirst Farm with their daughter Abigail and four rescued pets that include three dogs and a rabbit.
