Robert W. Lazaro, Jr.


Robert_Lazaro.jpg Bob Lazaro was elected the 17th Mayor of Purcellville in May 2006 and was re-elected with 61.5% of the vote in May 2008. Mr. Lazaro previously served two years as a member of the Town Council.

Bob serves as a member on the Council's Infrastructure Committee, Transportation Committee and Ways & Means Committee. As Mayor he serves as Chairman of the Council's Budget Committee. Mr. Lazaro represents the Council as a member of the Northern Virginia Regional Commission and serves as Chairman of the Commission's Energy and Environment Committee. Mr. Lazaro is a founding member of the Town Association of Northern Virginia and is a member of the Coalition of Loudoun Towns.

Bob resides on Sunflower Court with Carolyn, his wife of more than 23 years, and their daughter Kathryn. Kathryn is a Senior at Loudoun Valley High School. Bob is an avid gardener. The Lazaro's have three dogs: Muffin, Pepper and Lilly.
