Purcellville - Community View

Quality of life

At the turn of the century, Purcellville established itself as the largest commercial center in Western Loudoun County. Today, its proximity to Washington D.C. and Dulles International Airport continues to attract industrial and commercial enterprise and an expanding labor force.

The Purcellville Business Association promotes the economic, industrial, professional, cultural, and civic welfare of the Town of Purcellville. The Purcellville Business Directory lists businesses based in the Town.

Beauty of Purcellville

The Loudoun Valley setting makes Purcellville a pleasing place to live.

Homes

Well kept homes on Purcellville's tree lined Main Street exemplify our long tradition of community pride.

Victorian House

The Victorian homes located in town are viewed by thousands of visitors each year and represent a visage of a grand age of urban development that has been displaced in many metropolitan areas. Within Purcellville's semi-rural setting you will find the air fresh and clean, with flora and fauna abundant.

Associations and Opportunities

The opportunity to see wildlife presents itself often.

Purcellville is small town America with parades, Christmas carolers, open houses and home tours. The Purcellville Skating Rink is now the home of Bluemont Old-time Country Dances, a thirty year tradition, currently held the third Saturday of the month.

PPA

The Purcellville Preservation Association (PPA) is dedicated to promoting community pride and awareness of the towns’ historical and natural resources and enhancing its environment through preservation and beautification. For example, in October, 2004, the PPA sponsored a Tour of Vintage Homes and Historic Sites, garnering many compliments.
