News Release - 33rd and Country Club Drive Cut Through Traffic Pilot Program Update

PURCELLVILLE, Va. APRIL 12, 2018 — Consistent with the direction provided by the Town Council at their April 10, 2018 meeting, the delineators on Glenmeade Circle between Ashleigh Road and Country Club Drive will be removed on Thursday, April 19, 2018. In addition, all associated signage and traffic calming measures from the first pilot project will also be removed.

The next pilot project will include access control signage on 33rd Street plus enforcement measures. This pilot project proposal is subject to approval by outside agencies including Virginia Dept. of Transportation (VDOT), Loudoun County Public Schools, U.S. Post Office, Loudoun County Fire and Rescue, and the Town’s refuse and recycling contractor. If all approvals are granted, it is anticipated that this pilot project will start at the end of April/beginning of May 2018.
